Starting Primary School for Parents and Carers

Transitions to Our Lady's

We aim to visit all our new learners within their nursery / early learning setting to observe them and learn more about them. We also offer transition visits and planned activities in our school to support learners and their families to settle into our school community. At the current time, transition is looking a little different. For now, we have developed this section of our school website for parents / carers of children starting P1 with us this year.

Within this "Starting Primary School for Parents and Carers" folder, we have included information and documents to provide you with a range of information to prepare you for your child starting at our school. Included in this is a booklet of information, which can be found down the left hand side of this page and is entitled "Transition Booklet 2020".

For our pupils, we have also set up a "Starting Primary School for Children" folder. Within this, we have included details of a blog we have created to support children starting Primary 1 in our school. We are including some weekly activities for our new learners to engage in and allow us to get to know our new learners better. You can find our P1 Transition blog by visiting: https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/dd/ourladystransition/. You will also find photos of our school and an information booklet for children starting at Our Lady's.
